BatteryXchange is a portable phone charging kiosk service that lets users rent battery packs at venues and events. PLECCO developed the full software stack — from kiosk firmware integration to the consumer-facing mobile app and back-office management platform.
The Challenge
BatteryXchange needed a scalable platform capable of managing hundreds of deployed kiosks across multiple venues, tracking real-time battery inventory, handling rental transactions, and providing operational visibility to venue partners.
The Solution
We built a cloud-based platform with real-time kiosk telemetry, a cross-platform consumer mobile app (iOS and Android), and a venue partner dashboard. The system handles payment processing, rental lifecycle management, and automated kiosk status reporting.
Results
The platform successfully launched across multiple venues, enabling BatteryXchange to scale their hardware deployment while maintaining operational control through a single unified system.
